After receiving his BFA in Sculpture from Wayne State University in 2015, as well as achieving ‘best in show’ awards at the Anton Art Center’s 43rd Michigan Annual Exhibition and the 2013 Undergraduate Exhibition at Wayne, Joe continues to exhibit sculpture in the Detroit area.
Typically working in media from concrete to cast bronze, and fabricated steel to found objects and wood, Joe has recently been exploring cutting-edge techniques to incorporate into his work such as 3D-printed stainless steel, and CNC plasma cut steel. JOE culver - the sculptor
susan lepora - the ceramic artist
Exploring her passion within the ceramic arts for over 3 decades, Susan has cultivated and refined her visceral intuitive talent. She has attained success while gaining esteem in her artist community. Her sculptural workpieces and a myriad of functional wares are in the hands of hundreds of people coast to coast. Susan has been honored with accolades from Michigan to Kentucky, including “Best of Show” designations from KEHA local, district and regional cultural art exhibits, and “Best in Show” for the 2016 Hardin County Fair ceramic division.
Since the summer of 2013, Susan has studied under the tutelage of Matthew Lee Gaddie of “The Meadows Pottery”, located in Bardstown, Kentucky. Further discovering her voice amid the “Hills of Bourbon Country”, has granted even more opportunities for her to unleash new artistic visions. The privilege of collaborating with other accomplished artists has led to the juxtaposition of methods and mediums for exciting large scale projects.
